Quick-Release Steering

• High-precision steering boss engineered for strength, reliability and custom fitting

• Our quick release steering boss is CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminium and hard-anodised for exceptional strength and long-term durability. Both male and female splines are precision gear-cut and incorporate a master spline for accurate alignment.
• The male splined shaft is machined from EN3B steel, with a standard weld-in spigot diameter of 20mm. We also manufacture bespoke steering wheel quick releases to meet specific constructor requirements – different diameter splines, shaft sizes and complete steering column assemblies are all available on request.
• Some Lifeline quick release bosses can be supplied prewired with an 8-way electrical connector, allowing for steering wheel-mounted instruments or switchgear. We also offer non-prewired connectors in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 16 and 22-way formats to suit a wide range of individual and constructor needs. All connectors are manufactured to IP50 specification.
