ABkC regulations require an EN3 /55B approved unit in each paddock awning.

Notes:

  1. Always check MSA and FIA regulations for full requirement definition. The information is compiled from best available sources and is provided for guidance. The part numbers shown are for illustration purposes and represent the choices available to meet minimum regulation requirements.
  2. It should be noted that MSA regulations have changed and it is now mandatory for UK circuit race cars to carry a plumbed system unless subject of MSA waiver (typically historic race cars).
  3. Where applicable there is a choice between the type of handheld and the type of system to be used. For example a 2.4 litre foam or 2kg powder handheld will satisfy minimum FIA requirements - you do not need both. Equally there is a choice between Zero 2000 or Zero 360 (gas) systems.
  4. The types of system and handheld extinguishers can be mixed, for example a Zero 360 gas system can be combined with a foam handheld in FIA and MSA events.
  5. The MSA does not permit the use of powder extinguishers in cars. This applies to National sanctioned events only.
  6. Two smaller handheld units can be combined to reach the minimum quantity, for example 2 x 1.75 litres satisfies the FIA 2.4 litres minimum.
  7. The FIA requires 2 metal straps and metal clips for handheld mounting.
  8. When ordering please advise if you need higher level of anti-freeze or alcohol additive in Zero 2000 for ethanol/methanol based fuel types.
